Black Holes

  The aim of the course is to give a self-contained, pedagogical introduction to Black Hole physics. The course covers the following topics:  
 
    1. compactification of spacetimes.
    2. examples of black hole spacetimes: Schwarzschild, Reissner-Nordstrom, Kerr.
    3. The laws of black hole mechanics.
    4. Hawking effect.
    5. Uniqueness and soft hair.
