Introduction to 't Hooft and ABJ Anomalies Noppadol Mekareeya - INFN Milano-Bicocca |
||
Syllabus This course provides an introduction to the 't Hooft anomaly and the Adler-Bell-Jackiw (ABJ) anomaly from a contemporary point of view. The following topics will be covered. 1. 't Hooft anomalies in (0+1)d quantum system 2. The anomaly inflow mechanism 3. ’t Hooft anomaly matching conditions 4. The ABJ anomaly in (3+1)d QED and QCD with massless quarks 5. The Atiyah-Singer index theorem 6. Chiral symmetry breaking in QCD with massless quarks 7. The SU(2) Witten anomaly The lecture note can be found at the following link: https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/hkb921auy5eje78v7a0ev/main.pdf?rlkey=knpqufztae4fh9adsy9pw7o5w&dl=0 References: 1. N.
