XVII Avogadro Meeting

Abstract

The Avogadro Meetings started in 2005 as an occasion for young Italian theoretical physicists to share their ideas and results in an informal atmosphere. The meeting is named after the University of Piemonte Orientale that hosted its first three editions. The meeting is traditionally scheduled just before the Christmas break to facilitate the participation of Italian postdocs and PhD students working abroad who can take the chance of their travel back home for Christmas to meet young colleagues and exchange ideas.

This edition will be held event in dual form, with in-person lectures which are simultaneously streamed online. The program will begin on Monday, December 20 in the morning, and conclude on Wednesday, December 22 in the evening with a social dinner. It will features five lecture sessions as well as one poster session.

Special measures related to the pandemic: based on the current National regulations we expect that we will only be able to welcome in-person participants who have a valid "green pass" (negative covid-test or vaccination certificate). Additionally, we expect the capacity of the venue to be reduced and we may be forced to limit the number of in-person participants accordingly. Applicants who have not received an invitation to attend in person should attend online. There will be no limitation on the number of remote attendees.
