Workshop
26 Aug, 2024 - 27 Sep, 2024
Scattering amplitudes describe the interactions between elementary particles and are at the heart of theoretical predictions for cross-sections measured at high-energy colliders. They also provide the driving force for theoretical developments in field and string theory. Recent years have shown an abundance of novel mathematical structures underlying scattering amplitudes. With links to cluster algebras, positive geometries, twistor theory and other modern methods in mathematics, the computation and understanding of perturbative amplitudes have revealed deep interconnections with algebraic geometry, combinatorics and number theory. This program aims to bring together experts from both theoretical physics and mathematics, to advance our understanding of the mathematical structures of scattering amplitudes, develop future directions of research and enhance our knowledge of field and string theory.
- Algebraic geometry for Feynman and string integrals
- Amplituhedra, grassmannians and positive geometry
- Celestial and twisted holography
- Cluster algebras, symbols calculus and associated bootstraps
- Double copy and color/kinematic duality
- Conventional holography and integrability methods
- Twistor and ambitwistor-strings, sigma models and actions

The participants who would like to present a poster are kindly invited to send an email with the title and a short abstract to alice.bernamonti@unifuit before May 22, specifying for which week of the workshop. Since a limited number of panels is available, the organizers will select the posters shortly after the deadline.
