Title: "How many is many? Building Fluids particle by particle"

Abstract This colloquium explores a surprising new frontier of emergence: how cutting-edge quantum technologies now allow us to build and control systems particle by particle, revealing fluid-like collective behavior in ensembles once thought too small to flow. By examining striking results from ultracold atomic gases and high-energy collisions, the talk challenges the long-held belief that collective laws belong only to large systems—and asks where the boundary between individual and collective motion truly lies.
