The workshop is devoted to the characterization of dynamical properties through the analysis of the eigenvectors of the Lyapunov stability linear operator, the so called Lyapunov vectors.

Topics as the characterization of hydrodynamical modes in dynamical systems, the hierarchical decomposition of turbulence, the degree of hyperbolicity in non-Asonov systems and the forecast predictability will be discussed in view of recent, promising results. The debate will focus on both fundamental questions in nonlinear dynamics theory and practical applications, such as instability control algorithms in atmospehric modeling.
