Mini Workshop
3rd CMS Common Analysis Tools hackathon
Feb 19, 2024 - Feb 23, 2024
Abstract
The Common Analysis Tools (CAT) group in CMS is a recently established group within the physics coordination area, and it is in charge of the development, maintenance and dissemination of software analysis tools that are useful for the collaboration. The group organizes two hackathon events per year, that serve to kick-start and sustain development work, that continues also during the rest of the year.
Topics
Analysis examples in ROOT::RDataFrame and python Coffea
Propagation of non-event-weight systematic uncertainties
Plotting tools standardization and uniformation
Development of tools to process NanoAOD
Development of tools for analysis metadata management
Automation of calibration workflows
Preservation of analyses for recasting and reinterpretation
Local organizer
Piergiulio Lenzi, Mattia Lizzo, Lorenzo Viliani
