IV. Short-term "Visiting Research Teams" program
Starting in 2026, with the support of the Simons Foundation, the Galileo Galilei Institute is launching the "Visiting Research Teams" program to promote in-person collaborative theoretical physics research visits.
The program provides support for housing under agreement with GGI, to research teams working on a common topic, for stays of one week (from Mondey to Friday), with funding of up to 5,000 Euro per team.
Participants will have access to office space and shared areas, and may take part in all other GGI activities, although the program operates independently from the institute's standard conferences, workshops, and schools.
The initiative aims to broaden the range of theoretical physics
topics at the GGI that fall within INFN's main areas of activity.
Applications must be submitted as a group and are reviewed on a rolling basis.
For logistic reasons, the proposed stay should avoid overlap with weeks of intense activity at GGI, like training/focus weeks and conferences.
