Training Week
Advanced School on Precision Cosmology and Dark Matter
Aug 25, 2025 - Aug 29, 2025
Abstract
This school is tailored for PhD students and postdoctoral researchers interested in using cosmological observables to unravel the nature of dark matter. The program will focus on the state-of-the-art methods for modeling the universe on large scales, developments in BSM model building for cosmology and the interpretation of CMB observations and galaxy survey data, which can provide key insights into the properties of dark matter. Participants will gain hands-on experience through tutorials on using state-of-the-art cosmological codes to analyze data and test theoretical models. By combining lectures with practical sessions, the school will equip attendees with essential tools to drive research at the forefront of cosmology and dark matter physics.
Topics
Perturbation theory for LSS -- Mikhail Ivanov (Massachusetts Institute of Technology)
Data selection and analysis in LSS -- Elisabeth Krause (University of Arizona)
CMB and linear theory -- Julien Lesgourgues (RWTH Aachen University)
Cosmology beyond ΛCDM -- Hongwan Liu (Boston University)
In addition, we will organize a set of tutorials on using new BBN codes, CLASS and CLASS-OneLoop and pipeline for the full-shape reanalysis of the BOSS data.
Organizers
Emanuele Castorina (University of Milan)
Azadeh Moradinezhad (LAPTH, Annecy)
Diego Redigolo (INFN, Florence)
Ennio Salvioni (University of Sussex)
Marko Simonović (University of Florence)
Anže Slosar (Brookhaven National Laboratory)
Tomer Volansky (Tel Aviv University)
Local organizer
Diego Redigolo, Marko Simonovic
