New Perspectives in String Theory: opening conference

Apr 06, 2009 - Apr 08, 2009

Abstract

Aim of this short conference is to provide an overview of the status of String Theory with particular attention to the recently emerging problems in such a way as to give a rich and far reaching start to the extended workshop.

The number of participants is limited to 80. The participation fee for the Conference is 100 Euros including registration, coffee-breaks and lunches. For those willing to participate to the social dinner on Wednesday, April 8 there will be an extra charge of 50 Euro. The fee should be paid cash on arrival at the registration desk.

Organizers

Costas Bachas (Ecole Normale Superieure, Paris, France), Massimo Bianchi (University of Roma Tor Vergata, Italy), Michel Green (DAMTP, Cambridge University, UK), Jeff Harvey (Chicago University, USA), Augusto Sagnotti (Scuola Normale Superiore, Pisa, Italy), Ashoke Sen (Harish-Chandra Research Institute, Allahabad, India)
