Mini Conference
Fourty Years of Conformal Field Theory
Feb 02, 2024
Abstract
The seminal paper "Infinite conformal symmetry in two-dimensional quantum field theory", by Belavin, Polyakov and Zamolodchikov, was published in the Fall of 1984 but actually appeared as a CERN preprint in February of the same year. We take this 40th anniversary as an opportunity to celebrate a milestone in theoretical physics, and to recall the contribution of INFN 's Florence group to some subsequent developments in the field.
Speakers
Alexander Abanov (Stony Brook University)
Denis Bernard (ENS, Paris)
Maria Cristina Diamantini (University of Perugia)
Fabian Essler (University of Oxford)
Lorenzo Maffi (Niels Bohr Institute, Copenhagen)
